    Disease Diagnostic Group Disease Diagnostic Group (DDG) is a pre-revenue medical device company specializing in the development of rapid, accurate, and inexpensive disease diagnostic tests. Our core focus is on the $1.5B malaria diagnostic market, and our flagship product is RAM (Rapid Assessment of Malaria). This novel, proprietary device utilizes magneto-optical technology to provide accurate malaria diagnoses in less than 60 seconds at 1/10th the cost at 100x the detection level of current solutions. RAM is designed to pair a reusable, mechanical device with a plastic consumable and provide a handheld, quantitative diagnosis. RAM can detect below the point of being symptomatic, meaning it finally offers an elimination-setting test for those who carry an undetectable infection, while still having the cost and sensitivity characteristics to become the universal method of malaria diagnosis.
    Fire Protection Company FireStrike Industries is revolutionizing the fire protection industry. We have designed a product to compete with sprinkler systems call the Phoenix. The Phoenix is the world's first fire suppression system designed around a patent pending infra-red targeting system. Compared with standard automatic suppression systems that either blindly spray suppressant or simply flood the environment, the Phoenix pinpoints the fire's exact location and focuses the suppressant directly at the fire, optimizing suppressant effectiveness for maximum extinguishing potential. Combined with smoke detection, rate-of-rise heat detection, and absolute heat detection, the Phoenix greatly reduces the chance of false activation while at the same time offering rapid activation time. In fact, during one test, the Phoenix detected and extinguished a fire 26 seconds after detecting smoke, all while the ceiling temperatures remained below 80 F. The patent pending Phoenix fills the gap between fire detection and fire suppression systems, offering full suppression capabilities at a price point that nearly rivals that of fire detection systems. Equipped with an array of onboard sensors and an advanced infra-red targeting system, the Phoenix is capable of suppressing or extinguishing any nearby fires by directing its onboard suppressant towards the fire.

    StudyTree StudyTree is a mobile platform designed to connect students and tutors. StudyTree creates a network of university tutors and students. It changes the tutoring environment in a way that makes it easy and convenient for students to get the help they need. Students using StudyTree create study sessions by utilizing geo-location, selecting a subject, setting the amount of time for the session, and reviewing tutors. Geo-location allows students to specify an exact meeting location. Tutors are then notified once the student selects a class and sets the amount of time requested for the study session. Both parties are able instant message to setup a meeting. Once they meet up and the tutor is ready to begin, the student starts the session via the application. To evaluate performance, students and tutors create reviews. A user’s numeric rating is depicted on a 1 to 5 star scale. Both users can use the star scale, along with anonymous written reviews in order to assess capabilities. Reviews are required upon completion of a study session. Users are required to select a star value from 1 to 5, indicating their level of satisfaction. A university can signup with StudyTree and use our website to on-board their own tutors. These university managed tutors can leverage StudyTree to connect with students. From our website, university administrators can view analytic and manage their tutors. For the first time, universities can provide tutoring without having to setup a physical tutoring center with static hours of operations. Students that set up study sessions with university managed tutors are not charged a fee because their university handles payment of their tutors. Not only is this cost efficient, it allows universities access to data that has never before been available such as who their best tutors are, what classes students are struggling with, what time students need help etc. Since big data is crucial in guiding important decision, StudyTree is an optimal technology solution for forward looking universities.
    Vita Inclinata Technologies Vita Inclinata’s technology consists of a novel control system, correcting for unwanted movement caused by the environment or by operators, integrated with a robust, precise hoisting system. A network of sensors on both the bottom of the rope as well as the helicopter provide data regarding sway and movement perturbations, which are read several times per second by a microcontroller to minimize motion. This type of technology provides a solution that addresses a dire need of rescue helicopter personnel on a daily basis. Our technology will be able to ensure that rescuers are safe, effective, and can treat a patient with the most care possible by minimizing the chaotic swinging of the cable during rescue extractions.
